Sponsor a rider - make a charitable donation
I know that it's very difficult to allocate charity dollars, especially this year with the economy so uncertain.  That means we have to give in spite of and because of these challenges.  

I appreciate that every year you  are contacted by so many charities and aked  to support Israel in so many ways. ALYN should be part of your charitable allocation. To the children there, ALYN stands for All the Love You Need. Please consider ALYN as a worthy beneficiary of your charitable contributions.  

I had read David Brancaccio's "Squandering Aimlessly" a few years ago.  Apparently eight years ago.  He points out (at page 145, as I shamelessly expropriate text from his tome), that there are multiple motivations for giving, including a wish to have something of ourselves be apparent and enduring as a part of good works, or merely to ensure something of worth is preserved:

So we have the threat of extinction behind what is usually described as a charitable impulse.  It can also be a self-centered investment in one's surroundings.  It is also about the power to control the destiny of your money.   

And don't forget, Uncle sweetens the pot with your tax deduction.  Can you get past that!  We are subsidized for doing something right!  

If you knew ALYN as I do, and the ALYN family, the "tribal gathering" yearly for the Wheels of Love, you'd feel the sense of power in a donation to support this hospital as a jewel within the middle east; where Jew and gentile, Israeli and Arab, Palestinian, Bedouin and even European and American children and adolescents can find the special care the doctors, nurses, therapists and staff at ALYN provide.   

 We can make a difference in the world and we can do it with ALYN.
